From 29th to 31st of January 2024, the United States and Kenya held the third negotiating round under the U.S.-Kenya Strategic Trade and Investment Partnership (STIP) in Nairobi, Kenya.

The U.S. delegation, led by the Assistant United States Trade Representative (USTR) Constance Hamilton included officials from the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the Food and Drug Administration.

This round of negotiations allowed the two sides to exchange views on the most recent proposed texts that concern agriculture, good regulatory practices, and workers’ rights, while also touching on issues around anticorruption, MSMEs and services domestic regulation.
